[VIDEO] Watch Selectmen Candidates Debate the Issues

Rojas, Scharfman answer questions from Belmont Patch on Belmont Media Center.

Belmont Patch and the Belmont Media Center welcomed the two candidates for Belmont Board of Selectmen, Andy Rojas and Dan Scharfman, to the Media Center's Lexington Street's studio for an hour-long debate on the issues facing the town and the board.

Rojas, currently a member of the Planning Board, and Scharfman, elected to the School Committee in 2010, answered and discussed a wide array of questions including rationalization, "smart" growth, where the town can increase revenue, what capital projects they would support and if they would support an operational override.

Rojas and Scharfman as well as all town-wide candidates and Town Meeting candidates will be at the League of Women Voter's Election Forum on Thursday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Chenery Middle School for a candidate's forum.

Next week, Patch and the Media Center will host the candidates for School Committee.
