On the Livermore house, where did you get the $134k for the renovations figure ? Looks more like 4 times that to me.

From the town's property assessing information web site. http://24.61.156.19/belmont/ Just one permit was issued by the town this year.

Guy, I agree with you. Something shady going on here. Franklin, I also agree with your figures provided. The contractor found some loophole or got some sort of preferential treatment. Million dollar homes come with kitchens alone priced at $100k. This addition added 1800sq feet of living space plus a remodel kitchen and baths for $!34K. Something fishy on Livermore.
