Annual Wellington Book Fair Gets Started with Pizza and 'Hot Books'

Fair, the school's biggest fundraiser, will take place until Friday at 6 p.m.

The annual Wellington Elementary School Book Fair kicks off with pizza and a baked sale when the doors open for the three-day event at 5 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the Community Room.

If books and learning games are on your holiday list, then head over to the fair – part of the Scholastic Book Fair series – to discover hundreds of books and fun, educational merchandise for all the kids on your list. The theme for this year is “Reading Oasis: A Cool Place to Discover Hot Books!”

During the book fair, the Community Room will be set up as a store, filled with books and merchandise for all ages. Proceeds will be used to provide resources and programs to the school's teachers and students.

The fair begins at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday until 1 p.m. and then from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the pizza party. The fair resumes Thursday, Nov. 14, at 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and then 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Friday, Nov. 15, the store will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and then 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
