At Home: Belmont Girls' Hoops Host Charlestown Tuesday in Playoff Opener

Marauders ranked 7th in Division 2 North Sectional playoffs.

The hard work demonstrated by the Belmont High School Girls' Basketball team in their final game of the season last Friday was rewarded as the Marauders will host their first round opener against Charlestown High School in the Division 2 North Sectional playoffs.

The game will tip-off at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 26.

The contest marks the first time in five years since Belmont has both made the tournament and hosted a home game.

The home game was made possible after Head Coach Melissa Hart's team dominated 15-win Lexington, 63-46, on Feb. 15 at the Wenner to finish the season with 11 wins, pushing them into the 7th seed and giving them a home opener.

Belmont's opponent, the Charlestown High Townies, recorded a 9-8 record this season in the Boston City (North) conference.
