Belmont High Sports Enter Week on a Roll

Boys', Girls' soccer, swimming, field hockey and volleyball enter week on a roll.

Belmont High School sports are entering this week on a roll as most teams, which will be on the road for the week, went undefeated in action late last week.

Girls' and Boys' Soccer traveled to Lexington on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 29, and came away unbeaten as the Girls' (6-2-0) won convincingly 2-0 as Julia Russo and Sophia Eschenbach-Smith scored in the first half and goalkeeper Maria-Alice Manetas earned her fourth consecutive blank sheet while the Boys' (4-1-3) came away with a point holding Lexington to a 0-0 tie.

Field Hockey needed a win after falling twice in the week and Thursday's game, Sept. 27, against Woburn saw Belmont regain their scoring touch as first Haley Fay scored to give Belmont an early 1-0 lead and Catherine Noone scored midway in the second half to secure the 2-1 win which saw the Marauders jump to 4-4 on the season.
