Belmont High School's Dr. Jeffrey Shea’s Global Leadership class is hosting a screening of the critically acclaimed film "Girl Rising" on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the Chenery Middle School Auditorium.

The film follows the stories of nine girls across the globe in their quest for an education. In being denied an education girls are not realizing their full potential for success, which negatively affects not only them but also their families, their communities, the nation in which they live, and the global economy.

For $5 you can attend this inspirational film – tickets are available online at www.ticketstage.com – with all proceeds going to the "Girl Rising Foundation," supporting organizations that promote gender equality and education.
