Belmont High's Shea Signs To Play Division 1 Baseball at UMass-Lowell

From the Marauders to the River Hawks.

The Shea family won't have to travel all that far to see their son and brother, Brendan Shea, play top-flight baseball next year.

They need only travel up to Rt. 495 and get off in Lowell as Brendan signed a letter of intent to play Division 1 baseball at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell for head coach Ken Harring.

The Belmont High School senior is know for his time on the mound, highlighted this past June when the southpaw hurled a one-hit complete game over Beverly High in the MIAA Div. 2 North tournament, striking out 11 for the upset.

The River Hawks were 30-19 in 2013, having last made the NCAA Regional Playoffs in 2011.
