Belmont Schools Will Be Closed on Friday Due To Storm
Winter recess will be expanded to a second day due to the nor'easter.
Belmont School Superintendent Dr. Thomas Kingston made official what town parents and students have been discussing online and over the phone since last night.
"The Belmont Public Schools will also be closed Friday, January 3, 2014," wrote Kingston to Belmont Patch and on the Belmont School website due to the coming nor'easter.
"The school offices will open at 9 a.m. unless Governor Patrick declares a state of emergency, in which case the offices would be closed in conformance with the declaration," said Kingston.
