Bid Now! Foundation for Belmont Education's Online Auction Begins Today

The list of 250 items from riding on a Zamboni to a week-long vacation are up for bidding.

How do you get great deals on the best of Belmont and the surrounding area and nation – tickets to sporting events including the Red Sox and Celtics, eateries, food and services and tickets to "The Colbert Report" – while helping out Belmont's schools?

It's actually quite simple: You go to your computer and bid on the largest and best-ever online auction – at www.fbe-belmont.org/auction – sponsored by the .

And anyone can bid on the hundred of items as the online auction opens today until Sunday, March 25.

"We have some amazing items available and it is open to everyone to take part in. Plus the best part: it helps all of the Belmont Public Schools. A win for everyone," said Heidi Sawyer, co-chair of the FBE Auction Committee.

• Ride the Zamboni during Intermission at a BHS School Boys' or Girls' Hockey Game (editor's note: I'm bidding on these item)

And the list of great items that include hotels, restaurants, trips, sports tickets, summer camps and home, beauty and fitness activities goes on and on and on. One area of great interest will be the travel and designation items as they include resort vacations across the country. 

The online auction is part of Foundation for Belmont Education's 13th Annual Spring Fundraiser which will be held on Saturday, March 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Belmont Hill School. 

Next week, the Foundation will give provide a sneak peak at what is available for the LIVE Auction at the fundraiser on the 17th. There are some really exciting packages for groups to bid on and a super weekend away that those in attendence will not want to miss.
