Butler Elementary PTA's Annual Auction Set for Saturday

Red Sox tickets, great getaway opportunities and much more are up for bid.

Where else can you go dancing, sample great food and have to grab Red Sox tickets, a swank stay at a Boston hotel, all that and help out the ?

Then circle tomorrow, Saturday, March 10, on your calendar to attend the annual Butler Elementary School PTA Benefit Auction which has more than $30,000 worth of good and services up for bid. 

What's in the auction? 

• Boston Red Sox tickets

• New England Patriots tickets

• Deluxe overnight accommodations at the Four Seasons, the Liberty Hotel, the Omni Parker House and the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, Maine

• Disney World Park Hopper passes

• Original artwork

• Handcrafted items like jewelry and furniture

• A lunch with Michael McAllister, the Butler's Principal

This year's auction will take place at American Legion Nonantum Post #440, 295 California St. in Newton. There will  be music, dancing, hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. 

The silent auction will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the live auction beginning at 8 p.m. 

Tickets are $25 at the door. You can still pick up $20 advance tickets at today's pick-up after school; look for Kathryn Whittemore or email her for more details.

The auction proceeds fund enrichment programs, materials and events. Join the Butler PTA and the greater Butler community for a fun-filled evening and support the worthwhile cause of education.
