Butler Elementary's Book Fair Thursday and Friday

Purchase your own books or pick some from a teacher's "wish list."

Bibliophiles, rejoice! The annual Daniel Butler Elementary School Fall Book Fair is here.

With this year's theme of a "Reading Oasis," the fair – sponsored by the Butler PTA – runs for two days beginning today, Thursday, Oct. 17 from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 18, from 2:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Butler's gym. On Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., the fair will be hosting a free ice cream social featuring the students-created "Butler Dig" flavor.

A portion of each sale goes back into the classrooms and library in the form of new books and teacher resources.

In addition, you can help teachers and staff fill their own classroom library by purchasing books that they added to their own personal "wish list."

Stop by the Butler School at 90 White St. during the fair hours to make a purchase that supports and encourages literacy and learning in our community.

If you don't have time to visit in person or want to do some secret holiday shopping, visit our Online Book Fair to make your selections. All orders made online will be delivered to Butler and can go home with students or be picked up in person. You can shop anytime until Oct. 29.

In addition, you can help teachers and staff fill their own classroom library by purchasing books that they added to their own personal "wish list."
