Down Than Up for Belmont Boys' Soccer

One goal loss and win from Marauders at home this week.

Dan Martin's goal off a Melrose clearing attempt with 16 minutes remaining in the match secured a much needed victory for Belmont High School Boys' Soccer team against the Red Raiders on Thursday, Oct. 4 at Harris Field.

Martin's shot from 12 meters from in front of the goal beat Melrose Goalkeeper David Mendelsohn and gave Head Coach Peter Guellnitz's team a needed victory after losing a lead and then a victory, 2-1, against Wilmington High School at home on Tuesday night.

The win boosts the Marauders to 5-2-3 midway through the season, on course for another post-season appearance.
