High School Artists Hanging Out at the Belmont Gallery of Art

Exhibit will help pay for the class trip to Paris in the Spring.

Beginning today, Friday, Jan. 10, and running over the next three weeks, the Belmont Gallery of Art will host an exhibit by the Belmont High School Advanced Placement Art students, allowing the public an opportunity to see the works of these gifted young artists.

An artists' reception will take place on Sunday, Jan. 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

During the April recess, these exceptional art students – who study under the guidance of Belmont High School painting teacher, Mark Milowsky – will travel to Paris for educational enrichment where they'll have an opportunity to study art in the "City of Light." A portion of sales from works sold during this exhibition will help fund the trip.

The gallery is located on the third floor of the Homer Municipal Building in the Town Hall complex, 19 Moore St. The gallery is open on Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
