Kindergarten Registration and Orientation Set

The Belmont School District's orientation program for all parents of incoming kindergarten students has been scheduled with each elementary school hosting its own program at the schools.

Butler School, Wednesday, March 27 at 7:00PM

Burbank School, Wednesday, March 27 at 6:30PM

Wellington School, Thursday, April 11th at 6:30PM

Winn Brook School, Thursday, April 11th at 7:00 PM

Please note that the annual Kindergarten Registration for children entering Kindergarten in September, 2013 has been changed this year. Rather than separate events for Registration, Visiting, and Screening, all of these events will be combined into a single Kindergarten Orientation event held by appointment.

In order to qualify for admission to kindergarten, a child must be five years old on or before September 1, 2013. Proof of residency is required. See additional Registration information on our website.

At the time of their orientation appointment, parents will meet, with both a school nurse and a counselor, to discuss their child’s developmental history.

Letters describing the process for kindergarten orientation will be sent to all families, listed on the town census, who have children of kindergarten age. Once they receive a letter, parents of kindergarten age children should call their local elementary school to make an appointment for orientation.
