Belmont High Seeking Host Families for Chinese Exchange Students

High School hopes to find homes for three students who are here for a week in February.

Next month Belmont High School will be hosting 15 students from Nanjing, China, once the capital of the nation. But due to some last minute changes, the school suddenly needs to find host families for three of the male students.

Unlike some exchange programs, this is not a long-term venture: The students and their chaperone will arrive on Saturday, Feb. 9 and will depart on Saturday, Feb. 16.

The school hopes to find hosts as soon as possible so that the host and exchange students can begin communicating. The English of the exchange students it typically at a high level. The  purpose for their visit is to have an experience in an American high school and to also practice their English skills. The students will attend classes with their hosts each day.
