Six Belmont High Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

Can now compete for $35 million in scholarships.

Six Belmont High School seniors have been chosen to be semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program, according to a note on Belmont High Principal Dr. Dan Richards' blog. 

The half-dozen students are:

  • Grant Addis
  • Theodore Reinhardt-Ertman
  • Lewis Silletto
  • James Stadler
  • Yuansi Zhang
  • Ziling Zhou
Approximately 16,000 students are annually selected by the program, providing an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 8,000 National Merit Scholarships worth about $35 million that will be offered in the spring of 2014.
