Spirit Week at Belmont High School

A (short) week long of leis, hats, T-shirts and an old fashion Pep Rally.

Belmont High School Principal Dan Richards is introducing a fun "new" event at the school: Spirit Week!

In addition to the Pep Rally on Wednesday, Nov. 27, the senior and junior classes are each sponsoring a themed Spirit Day for all students and staff to participate in during the week of Thanksgiving.

• Monday, Nov. 25 is the Junior Class Sponsored Maui Monday: wear a festive tropical garb and visit “Marauder Island!” Leis will be passed out in the main lobby at the start of school and popsicles are also being provided by the Junior class during lunch.

• Tuesday, Nov. 26 is the Senior Class Sponsored Winter Wonderland: today wear a seasonal hat, sweater and/or scarf!  Cold weather have you down? The Senior class is providing hot chocolate, in the café, all day long!

• Wednesday, Nov. 27 is the school wide Pep Rally. Support your class by wearing your class T-Shirt! Shirts will be handed out Tuesday morning before school and during the yellow MODs, in the café.

Also, students are urged to participate in the class/faculty and staff penny war! There will be five containers – one for each grade and the faculty and staff – in the café during all lunch mods on both Monday and Tuesday of Spirit Week. Staff and students can deposit change and cash. The group with the most points wins and will vote on which charity to donate the winnings.
