Long-time Belmont High School Girls Soccer Head Coach Paul Graham is telling his goalie tandem of veteran senior Maria-Alice Manetas and sophomore Linda Herlihy pointers on cutting down on the angle of an attacking opponent.
"Don't stand on the (goal)line," said Graham jumping into the air. "You'll never get the shots in the corner."
This week, nearly every fall team was out on the filed, greens or in the water as the official preseason is well underway. It is a time of promise for teams that are replacing graduating seniors with underclassmen along with the anticipation of the new school year when everyone begins with a clean sheet.
