WATCH: Tufts Senior Hits Overtime Buzzer Beater in NCAA Tournament
The game-winning shot advanced the Jumbos to the Sweet Sixteen.
Tufts University’s Liz Moynihan hit a game-winning, three-point buzzer beater in overtime Saturday in the second round of the Division III NCAA Tournament.
Moynihan’s last-second runner gave her Jumbos a 57-54 home win over the University of New England, advancing them to the Sweet Sixteen.
Tufts (28-1) will host Vermont’s Castleton State College (27-3) Friday in the next round.
