Applications for Youth Public Safety Academy Now Available

The Academy is free for youths between 9 and 11 years old.

The and Fire departments will again participate in Middlesex County Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian’s Youth Public Safety Academy this summer. The week-long Academy is free and cadets will participate in a varity of public safety activities. Lunch and snacks are provided.
 
The academy this year for Belmont residents is the week of July 23 to July 27 in Billerica. It is free for youths between 9 and 11 years old. Pick up will be at 8 a.m. each morning at . Drop off will be at approximately 3:15 p.m. each day except for Friday when there is a graduation ceremony and picnic at the sheriffs academy in Billerica that must be attended by one parent. A Belmont police officer will accompany the cadets each day on the bus and while at the academy.
