Belmont Serves: Remember to Put Out Your Town Wide Food Drive Bags

Have your bags left out for pick up by 8 a.m.

Even if you can't come out to paint, rake, sew, plant and any other of the activities scheduled today for Belmont Serves – Belmont's annual day of community service – you can help in one special way by simply filling a grocery bag left on your stoop.

Belmont Serves makes it easy to donate to the Belmont Food Pantry. Before the event, teams of volunteers will be distributing grocery bags door-to-door with instructions.  Just fill up your bag with non-perishable items (canned goods, paper items, toiletries), and leave the bag on your doorstep today, Monday morning, Oct. 14, before 8:30 am.  It will be picked up on Belmont Serves day and delivered to the food pantry.

Today's food drive is the largest day for donations at the Belmont Food Pantry, with more than 2,000 bags delivered to the pantry. The drive allows those residents in need to be supplied with the bare necessities over the holiday season and into the new year.
