Olson Nominated to be Belmont's Own 'Lady Godiva'

The long-time Belmont resident – and Republican candidate in the race to become State Rep in the 24th Middlesex District – has been nominated for the “Lady Godiva Award.”

The Lady Godiva Award is given by Godiva Chocolate Company four times a year in several regions across the country including New England in order to celebrate inspirational woman throughout the world.

Olson is being recognized for leading an all-volunteer committee that puts on free outdoor summer concerts in Payson Park for the past 22 years, doing advertising, fund-raising via individual and corporate sponsorships, mounting programs and organizing volunteers to help with every facet of the summer concert series. The concerts are a rousing success and include both evening concerts and daytime childrens' concerts.
