Monday Essentials: (Hula) Hoop Dreams Wednesday, Talent Show Tuesday
Some of the essential events to lookout for this week.
• Come to the Beech Street Center’s inaugural talent show on Tuesday,
Aug. 13 at 1:15 p.m. Enjoy singers, as well as performers who will recite original poetry, do Hungarian dance, recite monologues and play the piano.
• Discover all the amazing things you can do with a hula hoop with the Boston Hoop Troop on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 2 p.m. in the Belmont Public Library's Assembly Room.
• The film “Emma" – based on the novel by Jane Austen and starting Gwyneth Paltrow – will be shown at the Beech Street Center on Friday, Aug. 16 t 1:15 p.m.
• Sewer and drain repairs will be performed on Hawthorne, Grant Avenue, Waverly Street and Cambridge streets this week.
