Ring in the New Year Family Style at the Library, Restaurants Prepare for 'Eve Dining

Events happening this coming week in Belmont.

• Ring in the New Year with the whole family on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at the Belmont Public Library's own New Year's Eve festivities. At 10:30 a.m., make a party hat in the Children's Room. At 11 a.m., Acoustic Brazil will perform Brazilian-inspired music for the whole family in the Assembly Room. And just before the clock strikes 12 (12 Noon, that is) we'll countdown to "midnight" and have a ginger ale toast!

Belmont restaurants are preparing their own celebrations for New Year's:

il Casale, 50 Leonard St., will have two seatings – 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. – with three and four course meals ($55/$75) that will include sparkling wine and champaign. Those attending the second seating are invited to stay to countdown the New Year.
