Holiday Craft Fair at the Beech, Small Business Saturday, Christmas Trees at the Lions Club

Events this weekend in Belmont.

The Beech Street Center, 266 Beech St., is holding its 12th annual Holiday Craft Fair this Saturday, Nov. 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission: $1 for adults; kids under 12, free. This popular event features more than 40 vendors offering holiday ornaments and cards, toys, jewelry, sweaters and scarves, dolls, quilts, baked goods and much more. Members of the Center's quilting and knitting groups will also be participating. In addition there will be raffle prizes, and a light lunch available. The fair is sponsored by Friends of the Belmont Council on Aging; all proceeds support Senior Center programs.

It's Small Business Saturday on Nov. 30. There are countless modest retail stores throughout Belmont that deserve our attention and support. So before driving to the mall or venturing to Boston or Harvard Square for holiday shopping, head into your local business for that special gift this year.

Christmas trees and wreaths are scheduled to arrive at the Belmont Lions Club, located at the MBTA Commuter Rail station in Belmont Center (Common Street and Royal Road) on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 8 a.m.
