'Shah Jahan' Turns Belmont Town Hall into India

Lots of great things to do this weekend from going to India to a book launch and singing along with tots.

Belmont Town Hall's historic auditorium will be transformed into 17th-century India for the SETU (Stage Ensemble Theater Unit) theatrical presentation of "Shah Jahan," the English dramatization of a story of the world’s greatest love and worst treachery during the Mughal period in India. A talented cast of thirty-five actors and dancers will be performing this original play by D. L. Roy with translation and added scenes and direction by Subrata Das. The drama takes place Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 29 at 4 p.m. Tickets are $11.

Join the Belmont Public Library for the book launch party of local favorite Julie Berry's new Young Adult novel "All the Truth That’s In Me," on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Belmont Public Library is kicking off its Saturday Sing-Along Series with a solo performance from Vanessa Trien, a rock star to the toddler set! Come see Vanessa's fun and energetic show on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10:30 a.m. in the library's Assembly Room.
