Dr. Abaskharoun is a wonderful vet with an amazing bedside manner. Our cat Cleo fell ill recently and had to be put to sleep. Dr. A was such a great help and comfort. He did everything he could to make sure that we were making the right decision (she had advanced kidney failure which led to a number of other catastrophic problems). He went out of his way to ease our experience. His empathy and genuine care is like no other vet I have seen.
We have also taken Cleo's sister, Zoe to him many times and he has handled here exceptionally well. He treats her like his own special kitty everytime, seemingly delighted by her presence. His skill and patience is estraordinary.
The advantage of his small practice is that you have very personal service and develop a real relationship. He can often see you the same day (he closes every day for a few hours in the afternoon to do procedures so it is best to call before noon).
I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for an experienced and caring doctor for their pet.
