One of the Mass Audubon nature sanctuaries, Habitat in the hills of Belmont is a 90 acre area of trails, woodlands and meadows dedicated to environmental education and recreation.  Aside from being a place to hike or snowshoe or bird watch, the center offers many classes and programs for ages preschool to adult.  These include one time classes for kids, classes for small children with an adult, weeklong preschool classes and programs for home schoolers and adult learners.  The visitors center is located in an old Georgian style house that can be rented for functions.  Admission is free for Belmont residents and members.  Others pay $4 per adult or $3 per child or senior.
