Town Clerk
The Town Clerk functions as the chief election official, recording officer, registrar of vital records and statistics, public records officer and licensing officer. The clerk's office issues documents including business licenses, public notices and meeting minutes, town meeting information, and zoning board decisions to name a few. Health Department
The Health Department provides services including inspectional services for food services, swimming pools, sanitary housing, body art and emergency preparedness to name a few. The department is comprised of a full-time director, assistant director, the animal control officer and an administrative assistant. Donna Moultrup is the director of the health department. Animal Control Officer
The role of the Animal Control Officer is to provide domestic animal control services to the community. The officer responds to requests for services related to animal bites, injured animals and other animal-related issues. Additionally, the officer also provides pet adoption services and public education programs. John Maguranis is the animal control officer. Belmont Recreation Department
The Recreation Department's responsibilities include engaging town residents to participate in activities for leisure. It sponsors public recreation programs for all ages and assists in maintaining public playground, recreation areas and facilities. William McKenney is the director. Belmont Municipal Light Department
Belmont Municipal Light Department provides power solutions to Belmont residents, commercial and industrial customers. The department serves around 10,900 customers.
Department of Veteran Services
Department of Veteran Services advocates on behalf of all veterans and provides quality service and benefits to veterans and their dependents in need of emergency financial or medical assistance.
Accounting Department
The Accountant's Office pays all town bills, and prepares and maintains the town's financial records. The accountant also works as the liaison to the Warrant Committee and Capital Budget Committee in addition to assisting the town administrator and Board of Selectmen in preparing the town budget. Building Services Department
The department strives to provide Belmont with professional maintenance and management of its public buildings. William Kevin Looney is the manager of Building Services Department. Department of Public Works is comprised of four divisions namely cemetery division, highway division, parks & facilities division and water division. Peter J. Community Development Department
The Community Development Department is comprised of the Building Division, the Engineering Division, the Planning Division and the Plumbing and Gas Division. Town Administrator
The administrator's office looks after all the activities of the Board of Selectmen and develops agendas and implements actions taken by the board. It also oversees general town operations and has responsibilities including supervision, budgets, personnel, and town planning. Thomas G. Younger is the town administrator. Education Scholarship Committee
The committee awards scholarships to outstanding students residing in Belmont and who are members of any high school, vocational school, private or parochial school.

Capital Budget Committee
The Capital Budget Committee administrates the process for consideration, setting priorities and approval of capital projects within the town.
Information Technology Advisory Committee
The committee provides guidance to all town departments and committees on technology matters including information delivery, increasing efficiency of transactions. It also reports to the Board of Selectmen on issues pertaining to major technology that affect the town.

Property and Casualty Insurance Advisory Committee
