Amy Spangler, who spent time as an elementary principal in Oregon, working overseas and in the private education sector, has accepted the offer of the Belmont Public Schools to become the principal of the Wellington Elementary School, said Belmont Schools Superintendent Dr. Thomas Kingston today, Monday, Oct. 29. After a life-time of travel, experienced administrator looking to settle down.
A decade ago, Amy Spangler had just finished her second year as principal at Forest Hill Elementary School in Lake Oswego, Oregan. Lexington assistant principal and an administrator who is a bit of a mystery.
An assistant principal/teacher from a neighboring town and an experienced administrator with an impressive resume were named finalists Friday, Oct. 19, to replace Amy Wagner as Wellington Elementary School principal, according to Belmont School Superintendent Dr. Thomas Kingston. Lexington's Ellen Quirk and Amy Springer from Greater Atlanta will be presented to teachers, staff and the public today, Monday, and Wednesday at the school.
