See How Much The Town Assesses Your Property for 2013

You have until Friday ... and you'll need to come to Town Hall to see it.

Wonder how much the Town of Homes thinks your house is worth for the coming tax year? Here's your opportunity to find out ... but you better hurry; property owners will only have until Friday to find out. The Board of Assessors' Office will have available for public inspection the fiscal year 2013 assessed values for each property in Belmont. The office is located on the first floor of the Homer Municipal Building, 19 Moore St., in the Town Hall complex. The values are being disclosed because Belmont submit all the property values to the State Department of Revenue for certification, a process that occurs every three years. Last Chance: Last Day to File Real Estate/CPA Exemptions Today

Assessors Office will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Last Chance is a new feature that will provide you with upcoming deadlines that you may want to know about. This week, in fact today, is the deadline for filing an application for the fiscal 2012 real estate and Community Preservation Act low/moderate income exemption. If you have any questions about the different type of exemptions offered by the Town, when the applications are due, what the requirements are, or if you have the slightest suspicion you may be eligible, call the Assessors' office at 617-993-2630.
