Three Belmont Swimmers Named All-Stars, Two Place in Division Championships
Senior Johnson and freshman Kelley lead the Marauders in the pool this post season.
Belmont High School Swimmers senior Ben Johnson, freshman Andrew Kelley, sophomore Thomas Zembowicz and senior diver Joe Tocci were all honored as Middlesex League all-stars for the season, last week. Middlesex League all-stars which were determined based on performance at the League Meet. On Sunday, Feb. 17, first-year head coach Bobby Reardon brought several Belmont swimmers to the pool at Harvard University in Cambridge for the Division 2 State Swimming championships. Belmont scored 15 points at the meet's completion. In his speciality, Kelley was the top freshman finishing 11th in the 100 yard (all distances in yards) backstroke in 56.90 seconds, a marked improvement over his seasonal best of 57.62.
