Friends of Belmont Public Library and Belmont Garden Club join for a soiree to support library programs.
A dozen floral arrangements inspired by bestsellers highlighted a Friday night where patrons and supporters of the Belmont Public Library came together for the annual "Books in Bloom" fundraiser. The reception featured the work of the Belmont Garden Club, music by Sinti Rhythm, a cash bar, art by local residents and dancing. "Books in Bloom" is co-sponsored by the Belmont Garden Club and the Friends of the Belmont Public Library with proceeds supporting Library programs such as free museum passes and the Author and Music series.

Flowers, live music, refreshments, artwork, dancing to celebrate spring at the Library.
Flowers! Live music! Refreshments! Artwork! It must be spring. This Friday's "Books in Bloom" at the Belmont Public Library offers an antidote for dreary winter weather while providing a chance to mingle with friends and enjoying 20 stunning floral interpretations of books created by members of the Belmont Garden Club. The reception which runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. includes a cash bar and live music by Sinti Rhythm. Those attending can enter a free drawing for lovely arrangements donated by local florists. Tickets are available at the Library's main Circulation desk at $15 in advance and $20 at the event March 1. This is an open community event for all ages. Have something to look forward as Belmont Garden Club and Library join forces March 1.
Three snowstorms in consecutive weekends is enough to drive anyone into a dreary state. But Spring will be in the air next Friday, March 1, as the Friends of the Belmont Public Library and the Belmont Garden Club will once again sponsor the "Books in Bloom" at the library. There will be 20 flower arrangements – there will be a drawing for the flowers at the end of the night – live music, refreshments and art work from Belmont artists to view as residents and library supporters can mingle and dance away the evening. At 8:15 p.m., there will be a free drawing for floral bouquets donated by more-than-half dozen local florists.
