More than 13,000 works of art by students in middle and high school from across the state were submitted for judging in thirteen categories in this year's annual Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards. And 46 Belmont students, many from Belmont's Chenery Middle School, received awards. Forty-six students from Belmont Schools received honors – including one student who was awarded one of the top prizes – at the annual Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards. In total, more than 13,000 pieces of artwork from students across the state were submitted for judging in 13 categories. Belmont High's Yoon Jae Kim received an American Vision Award for her painting, “Fruit of the Universe," awarded to one of the top five most outstanding works by a student in the state.
