All Quiet at Belmont's Candidates' Night

One contested race: for school committee; no need for sharp elbows.

After the past year of countless regular and special elections in which Belmont residents were running in contested races from President of the United States to Town Meeting representative, it would be expected that the "off year" election of 2013 would allow residents a bit of a respite to the seemingly endless rounds of campaign messages and lawn signs that bombarded the electorate in 2012. Belmont's 2013 Town Candidates' Night Tonight

League of Women Voters annual event will take place at the Chenery.

Belmont's League of Women Voters annual "Candidates' Night" will take place tonight, Monday, March 11 at 7 p.m. at the auditorium of the Chenery Middle School at the corner of Washington Street and Oakley Road. It will be a night residents at the Chenery or viewing on cable thanks to the Belmont Media Center will be able to "meet" the candidates seeking town-wide office and hear a quick "hello" from those running for seats on the approximately 290-member Town Meeting. The schedule for the event includes: • 7 p.m.: Town Meeting candidates meet with voters by Precinct in the lobby of the school. • 7:30 p.m.: Town Meeting Member candidates are introduced on stage. • 7:45 p.m.: Short speeches and a "Question and Answer" with town-wide …

Belmont League of Women Voters Sets Candidates' Night Oct. 24

Candidates for State House of Reps, State Senate, Gov. Council and Middlesex Sheriff.

The League of Women Voters of Belmont is holding a Candidates' Night on Wednesday, Oct. 24.   The event will be held at the Chenery Middle School, 95 Washington St. in Belmont at 7:30 pm. The program will be covered live by our local cable television station.
