Storm with Strong Winds Moving into Belmont Tonight

The large winter storm that dropped inches of snow in the South is now headed towards the Northeast. And while little in terms of snow accumulation is expected in Belmont, residents should expect strong winds and possible power outages. According to the National Weather Service's latest forecast, several inches of snow are expected to fall in the western part of the state tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 26, but with temperatures hovering around 40 degrees in the "Town of Homes", the snow is expected to change over to rain or icy rain after midnight.  According to the WHDH 7Weather Blog, the snow will start tonight between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. then quickly turn to rain in the Boston area.
