Basketball Group Holding Clothes Drive Saturday to Help Sandy Victims
Donations will be heading to Hoboken, NJ to help restore its recreation department, sports.
The Marauder Basketball Association is holding a supply drive to support families affected by Hurricane Sandy today, Saturday, Nov. 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Wenner Field House at Belmont High School. The drive will support the Hoboken, NJ Public Schools athletics, the Hoboken Recreation Department, and hoboken.recovers.org. Hoboken was selected because it is home of former Belmont High School Basketball captains Kevin Lapierre (a member of the 1993 state championship team whose father was a Belmont Youth Basketball Association founding coordinator and a volunteer for more than 15 years) and Fernando Costa (a 2002 All-League player).
