Belmont High School is the place to help support Belmont music education with a blast from the past.
Remember the 1980s? Neither do I but for three hours Saturday night, Feb. 2, everyone in town is invited to come to Belmont High School and jump into their own "Hot Tub Time Machine" and relive the decade with Sounds of the 80's. The dance party/concert from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in the High School cafeteria will return parents, teens and children to the era of Michael Jackson, Pat Benatar, Dire Straits and Bruce Springsteen as two great Belmont bands – Positive Energy and the world premiere of opening act foodbaby – bring back memories of thin ties, "big" hair, leg warmers, Pac Man and Rubik's Cube.
