Hecht Announces Run For Tolman's Seat; Primary Set: Dec. 13
Watertown State Rep. joins Brownsberger in race to represent 2nd Suffolk and Middlesex District.
The Secretary of State's Office announced today, Oct. 13, that the primary election to fill the seat held by State Sen. Steven Tolman will be Tuesday, Dec. 13. And Will Brownsberger, who announced last month that he was running for the seat opened when Tolman was elected President of the Massachusetts ALF-CIO last week, will have a challenger in the Democrat primary. State Rep. Jonathan Hecht, who represents Watertown and West Cambridge on Beacon Hill, announced today that he is running to succeed the Brighton-native for the 2nd Suffolk and Middlesex District, which is comprised of Watertown, Belmont and parts of Cambridge, Allston-Brighton, the Fenway and the Back Bay.
