Holiday Weekend In Belmont: Ruggers and Marchers

Events over the Memorial Day three-day holiday weekend.

1. The Belmont Rugby Football Club will be playing in the Division 1 State Championship Game at Fort Devans in central Massachusetts vs top-ranked Bishop H. The D1 match begins at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25 and will be played on Antietam Field. Getting to Devens is as easy as hopping on Route 2 and staying on the highway a little past Route 495 to Exit 37B Jackson Road/Deven then follow Jackson Road to the designated parking areas for Willard/Antietam Field. 2. Belmont will hold its annual Memorial Day Parade and Observance on Monday, May 27 beginning at 11 a.m. in Cushing Square. • Today is Belmont Town Day. Sponsored by the Belmont Center Business Associaton and Belmont Savings Bank, the festivities will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 18. This Weekend in Belmont: Solstice Sackbuts in Saturday 'Sliding' Concert

Residents and patrons are invited to celebrate "Fifty Shades of Chocolate" month at the Friends of the Belmont Public Library's Open House on Saturday, April 13 from 9:30 a.m. to Noon at the Belmont Public Library (of course). This Weekend in Belmont: Egg Hunts and Klemzer and Beyond

A light weekend due to Easter but something for everyone.

Annual Egg hunt  The 13th annual Belmont Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 30 at Chenery Middle School Field. Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. The hunt is for kids 8 and under and their families. This year we will be having a performance by Wayne Potash, and as always, you can take your picture with the Big Bunny.  There will be thousands of eggs, and many prizes.
