ReplySo what is the "official" total of snow in Belmont? Anyone lose power? Any trees down? We had far fewer problems from this one than Sandy. 4 or 5 trees down from Sandy (already forgotten our exact count); 0 from Nemo.

ReplySo sad. It's not like I went often. But having a Macy's allowed me to almost always find what I needed in Belmont without having to drive to a mall; all within walking distance of home!

ReplySeems like you heard about a possible date before it was official. This is the only published date, and the only date candidates were invited to. The other possible date had a Belmont conflict.

ReplyIt's a nice skill to have, but far less important than many, many other ones. I liked learning and wish I liked to use it more and make pretty handwriting, but like the author, I gave up using it for anything other than my signature, in 6th grade. If something has to go, then this is a good contender. Chenery had also given up on teaching typing and basic computer skills earlier this year. Fortunately parents complained, and it's back! Teaching good typing and basic skills around a computer seems SO much more useful in today's society.

ReplyWe so need an Inn or B&B in MetroWest. Since the lovely B&B closed in Arlington, there has been no local pleasant option for visitors to stay near our home. My only concern, they would be so busy, that my guests would have to book months in advance.

On the article Milk Money Going Online With Automated System

ReplyRan across this today when looking at new lunch system. I so agree with Jocelyn. The online system for busses seemed great until I discovered the fee, which I hadn't noticed until the end of my transaction. Just looked up the lunch system. Fee is cheaper, but still a set charge of $1.75. I think I'd rather pay a small percentage than have to decide when & how much to put in system with this charge. For instance, I was planning on just putting some emergency money of about $5-10 in the account, but with that service charge, it becomes a 17.5-35% fee!
