ReplyAnne - the 'surrounding Towns' have a much larger business tax base and are not asking residents to pay for libraries with increased property taxes. Its simple math - spend what you can afford and earn as you can. We don't have a Shire, Cubist or Hartwell Avenue so we don't get a Library like Lexington's (which we are fortunate to have access to through the Minuteman system). But, we can appreciate the Library we have - which serves its intended purpose - care for it properly and continue to keep it a strong hub for the Town.

ReplyTotally behind the Butler families. Just to clarify a comment above, the Wellington PTO actually paid for the bulk (may have been all but I'm not sure) of the school's playgrounds. Costs were not included in construction of school build.

Voted for GG but to get my vote in the general election he needs to tell me where he stands on the bigger issues. Bio ads won't be enough. He got away with the Pledge of Allegiance commercials because people were distracted and young, moderate Repubs like myself are desperate to change the GOP. Happy to cross party lines (as I have in the past) to vote for good candidates - especially ones that don't robo-call.
