I've been involved in Belmont Town government for about 13 years, including 6 years on School Committee (concurrent with that 2 on Warrant Committee (ex officio, as SC chair), 2 on Capital Budget Committee (ex officio, as SC secretary)). Currently I'm on the Wellington Building Committee and a Town Meeting member. Mix in quite a few local campaigns for various candidates and causes. I've lived in or next to Belmont for 26 years with my wife, Dot, and 2 teenage kids.
My day job is a software engineer in Cambridge. I've worked at quite a few of those places, huge and small; they come and go.
I've been a runner for 35 years, since junior high. I only do an occasional road race now, and walk as often as I run (besides to and from the T). I think I've run on just about every street in Belmont.
Born in Philly, grew up in NJ (Exit 7A!), went to Swarthmore College and Brown University. Fell in love with Boston while visting college friends here, but not until after college. Not to mention my wife is from Waltham and my uncle lived in Belmont (around the block from where I live now) for 35 years.
